Aretha Franklin & King Curtis - Dr. Feelgood (1971)

I’m making a point of seeing these guys anytime I get the chance.
Cedric Burnside & Lightnin Malcolm - My Sweetheart
I went to see Black Joe Lewis with a couple of friends last week and had a blast. While we all agreed Black Joe was fun, it was the opener, Burnside & Malcolm, that stole the show with their old school southern blues. It wasn’t at all surprising to learn afterward that Cedric is the grandson of the late, great R.L. Burnside
Yo Gabba Gabba - Pick It Up
Why my 16 month old daughter and I get equally as much pleasure out of watching this show.
Erik B & Rakim - Don’t Sweat the Technique
Like Entourage before it, How to Make it in America may just be Sex In The City for boys - lots of eye candy, quick shots and one (maybe two) dimensional characters.
The music is outstanding though. This one’s from last night’s episode… great fucking song.
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - Thirteen Days (J.J. Cale cover)
From a 2005 Sound Stage appearance. I’d say Tom Petty does J.J. Cale about as well as anyone out there.
Elvis Costello - Brilliant Disguise (Springsteen cover)
“Spectacle: Elvis Costello with…” is definitely one of TV’s better shows. Looking forward to its second season — most notably, Costello’s interview and performances with Springsteen. Some good clips here.
Heh, me too.
Someone please explain this to me. Is Bob Dylan laughing at us? Maybe so, but I don’t care, I love it!
